The Wilderness Is Not a Mistake
"I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her."
Hosea 2:14
We tend to think the wilderness is a wrong turn. Scripture tells a different story: God himself leads people there, on purpose, to speak quietly to them.
The wilderness strips away what fed our pride and our distractions. Out there, his voice — once drowned out — finally has room.
If you find yourself in a quieter, harder place than you expected, you may be exactly where he is speaking tenderly.
